Working with the Oakland Police Department
The NCPC Steering Committee maintains very close contact with officers and staff of the OPD. If you are aware of a chronic problem related to crime or illegal behavior that you would like the North Hills NCPC to make a priority with OPD, please contact the steering committee. Please send an email to info@northhillsncpc.org describing the problem.

The city's Neighborhood Services Coordinator, Anna Chang Lai can also be contacted if you see patterns of illegal activity or have other concerns that city resources might help solve. 510-238-3102
Reporting Criminal or Suspicious Activity
If you see a crime in process, call 9-1-1. If calling from a cell phone call 510-777-3211. These are emergency-only numbers.
If you see a crime in progress in an East Bay Regional Park, call 510-881-1833 to get Park police response.
If you want to report criminal or suspicious activity that is not life-threatening or is after the fact, call 510-777-3333. This is the OPD non-emergency number.
You may also mail or fax a Citizen Crime Report to the City to report any crime or suspicious activity:

Members of the public also have a legal right to file complaints, and the Oakland Police Department is required to accept any complaint you wish to file.
